We have a 10 year warranty on the (Prius) battery & the car, parts & labor. Of course it cost a little extra but the return of our last 10 yr warranty pays for a good portain on this new one which if not used (like the last) returns to us, infull, at the end of the 10 yrs or when we get rid of it (which happened when we traded in the Matrix).
