There's no real need to plow the ground in perfect circles. The center pivot irrigation rigs only spread water in a perfect circle, so nothing grows outside the circle that gets wet, regardless of how you plow or what you plant there.

The tractor square-dance thing has been fairly common at antique machine shows and at state fairs for quite a while. There are also clubs that square-dance with supercharged riding lawnmowers at club events.

A couple of years ago we made it to the "Amish Rodeo" at Yoder Kansas, where the main event was the mule races. It was obvious to me that our local "simple folk" were not averse to enjoying themselves, but the impressive thing was that it was also obvious that the mules were having a ball, and really enjoyed showing off what they could do. (An indication of great mutual respect between the owners and animals?)
