I would imagine the reason it hasn't been getting much publicity is that it's only been visible for a short time each day, low on the horizon right after sundown. Hale-Bopp was visible well after dark.

I will make a point of trying to catch it tomorrow. Too many trees in the immediate vicinity, but a drive out to a big open field should afford a decent view.
