Greetings once more:

GUEST Ada and I belong to an organization called the New York Philatelic Bandits. We used to get together once a year in Rochester, NY, to eat pizza and sing songs about stamp collecting. I kid you not. We even had a newsletter called Pickin' & Lickin' that Ada used to edit. It was kind of a cross between Sing Out! and The American Philatelist. Well, not quite, but each issue had one or more new songs, such as New Gum and Perfs Where There Were None which was sung to the tune of So Long, It's Been Good to Know You.

Pickin' & Lickin' even won a bronze medal one time in a philatelic literature competition. Yes, there really is such a critter as a philatelic literature competition. You can't make stuff like that up. Well, actually you can, but why bother?
