actually the one thing that would save Bush - and provide him a legacy..
is if he were to come up with a some kind of new alternative energy plan, that would stimulate investment in renewable clean energy that would allow the US to free its dependence on unstable mideast oil and at the same time - fight the man-made global warming- and give a America a lead in new energy technology..
(not that there is any one solution.. it can be a combination of better battery technology to make plug-in hybrids far more efficient - wind, tidal, solar, bio-fuel perhaps ) In fact congress has increased investment to many of these such as plug-in hybrids, ethanol plants etc.
BUt despite his 'America is addicted to oil' speech, We do know that as an oilman this isnt likely.
