No, it's too soft and thin, (and wet, by that point) to give you a good vibration.

Well the cardboard inside the paper roll is as clean as any other cardboard (I would think), seeing as it has never been touched by anything other than human hands. It's certainly cleaner than a comb, when you think about it...

But if the association makes you squeamish, I suppose you could cut a cardboard mailer tube to the same length.
