GUEST,guest,mupfeki 18 Jan 07 - 11:14 PM asked about the lyrics to the song called Mhla'uphel' Amandla' by the group Malaika.

I believe the Malaika [singer? group?] that Mupfeki is referring to is the South African singer or group.

I haven't found the lyrics but here's a link to the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNcth5NQxjo&mode=related&search=

This is definitely not sung in English & it doesn't sound like R&B :o}

The individuals who posted comments about the mhla uphel amandla video refer to it as being a South African song. I know that "amandla" means freedom in Zulu, but that and a few more words are all the KwaZulu I know.

Also, here's a hyperlink to a YouTube video of the song Destiny by Malaika that some previous posters have mentioned:

This song is also by a group name Malaika. It is sung in English.

For those who can't get YouTube, this song sounds like uptempo R&B songs to me. However, many of the commenters to this Destiny video refer to South Africa.
