Perhaps it's the surfacing of things like this that prompted the brief publicity a year or so ago about:

EXTREME IRONING!

In this sport, the man-about-the-house was required to take iron, ironing board, and wrinkled shirt, alone, to the most remote and extremely hostile environs he could come up with, and return wearing his own freshly ironed shirt. The contest was to see who could find the worst places to "perform."

I don't think the Canadians got into that, but it was popular(????) esp. along the northern US for a while. The thing might have lasted better if he'd brought her a fresh one too.

"Honey, I'll be back in about three days. I'm going to do some ironing."
