I am starting ground school. By the time I an eighty I will be a private pilot. I tried to tell them I already had plenty of experience piloting my privates, manually and otherwise, but they said I had to do the course anyway, and pay for it too. What a world!!

Anyway I am all at sea about the air just now -- the universe of aeronautics is a bewildering mishmash of symbols in different colors, fonts, sizes and each with terribly important meaning I can't remember. The FAA is a fountain of infinite acronym in a world badly in need of more. But I will get there, by gum.

A
