Yes, it's Bob Shane who sang it on the KT album, IIRC.   He only does the 1st, 2nd, and last verses, so it's less political, but the humor's still there.

The tune, BTW, is the same as the one used for Thomas Moore's "Bendemeer's Stream" (or is it "Brendemeer's ... ?" - Damn that dyslexia!). Beautiful melody.
