My name is Judy and I'm thirty seven,
I learnt to clean house when I was eleven.
I'm not sure why but they locked me away,
But I was determined to escape one day.

A warden left my cell door open wide,
He hadn't realised I was still inside.
That's one Tuesday, I will never forget,
I had the greatest time in my life as yet.

I went to the toilet for some light relief,
The pan was filthy much beyond belief.
I cleaned it with the brush, it looked so neat,
So white and shiny and smelling sweet

I went to the kitchen with great delight,
I guess all the wardens were quite uptight.
I raided the cupboards and took my fill,
To those in charge it was a bitter pill.

The juice and soft drinks never tasted so good,
I'd have spent more time there if I could.
But the wardens found me, what a teaser,
With cinnamon/raisin bread I took from the freezer.

The yoghurt they offered me was such a good bribe,
The taste of strawberry I can't describe.
I fell asleep on the refrigerator,
Found myself in my cell a short time later.

I didn't get punished, I was real surprised,
My warden laughed as he looked in my eyes.
He said "You're not going away and leaving me.
You're my favourite chimpanzee.
