It occurs to me that e-mail, though I did indeed send one, is not the best method of persuasion. They take up no physical space and are gotten rid of with the punch of a key. The best method, I imagine, is a massive letter writing campaign to The Washington Post and other media outlets. Physical letters to WETA are good, as is a flood of phone calls.

One point I made in my letter is that it saddened me to see that in the capital of the nation, current traditional folk musicians could no longer find a radio station to play their music. What is public broadcasting for, if not for this?
