There are some days when the glowing unconditional love that emanates from the two dogs in the back yard is all it takes to turn my day around. If it's a cold day and they want to stay in their dog houses in their stall in the garage, I'll still hear the "thump thump thump thump" of wagging tails to know they're glad I'm there. It's like a heartbeat, quite visceral.
