I was playing in a Pub in Dublin one night and a very elderly woman came up to me and said "Do you know I was eighteen years old?" (this was a request to sing "The Streets of New York" by the Wolf Tones, a song I don't know.

I couldn't resist replying - "I believe you missus, but thousands wouldn't"
