It seems that an apology from me is in order. Just for the record, my previous posting was concerned specifically with the singing which goes on in the T&S front bar every year during Folk Week at the end of August. It was aimed at several people who have been bad-mouthing this particular gathering for some time on Mudcat, on grounds that they believe are legitimate, but which I don't. Unfortunately, I mistook you for one of them

Clearly what you experienced on that Sunday night in June (and in a different part of the pub, too) has no direct relevance to this debate. The person in charge on the night you were there was obviously not doing his job properly. But then, we're all fallible, and he did apologise afterwards. So do I.
