We thought we were losing our dear dog Spot.
But now it turns out we are not.
With his big wet nose and his floppy ears,
It's enough to drive the cat to tears.

We would have missed his sweet doggy face,
And his fur and tail if we cut to the chase.
But now he's staying, are we glad.
Or are we all just barking mad?
