Thread Name: Chords: Come On Around to My House Mama (W McTell)
Subject: RE: Chord Req: Come On Around to My House Mama
Man, I can't even tell what damn key the tab is supposed to be in!

The structure for this song can be used for dozens of raggy blues, from "Send Me to the 'Lectric Chair" on down to "Walk Right In" (slight diffs there) and "Alice's Restaurant." I don't remember McTell's lyrics but these are the chords:

[C]Come on [Em7] around to [A7] my house, mama,
[D7]Ain't nobody [G7]home but [C] me.
Call me a [Em7] hotshot, [A7] rowdy and a cheater,
[D7] Just 'cause I'm from [G7]Tennessee
[C] Well, take it easy, [C7] don't get rough
[F]Cause these here women really [F#0] knows their [F]stuff,
[C]Come on [Em7] around to [A7] my house, mama,
[D7]Ain't nobody [G7]home but [C]me, I [A7] mean,
[D7]There ain't nobody [G7] home but [C] me.

McTell plays this out of C positions, as he does in most of the other songs he did with a similar structure ("Kind Mama," "Let Me Play with Yo' Yo-Yo" &c). He's tuned approximately C#-F#-B-E-G#-C# (bass to treble), so it sounds in A or thereabouts.
