Blind, unsolicited articles are likely to be ignored. Just call the appropriate editor and explain what you're doing, give them an idea of what your planning to do the artcle on. They'll most likely give you a chance and might even pay you. That's how I started, and I kept writing for the paper for a couple of years - Tom
