Bubblyrat, a billion was a million times a million when I was at school and it only seems to be relatively recently that it has become a thousand million in the UK - that's why I was totally confused because if you pick up old textbooks it's one thing and in the papers etc. it's another. Let's just hope that Brown knows what it is!
