Thread Name: BS: How You Can Help in Mozambique
Subject: RE: BS: How You Can Help in Mozambique
It came out bitchy cuz I am today, sorry. Up all night with local house fire relief and organizational crap about it.

But-- the whole point of Red Cross is humanitarian relief of suffering. It's the pioneer and still the gold standard. The whole front page of www.disasterrelief.org would follow with ongoing news of nonstop releif al around the world, it I weren't too tired to pretty up the pasting. The American Red Cross is one of the most proactive and generous supporters of worldwide disaster relief, and is often active in countries that have no Red Cross of their own. In my tiny, poor, rural county, our residents spontaneously supported faraway Kosovo to an amazing degree. One teen girl sent her entire $300 savings.

We do pretty good work. Go see the site if you want. For a complete guided virtual tour of Red Cross' public website, message my personal page with your e-mail address and I will send the links I built for our newer Red Cross board members to get acquainted with our many services. Or don't-- no skin off my nose.

In the meantime, if you can't help in Mozambique or wherever trouble is today, giving blood is an action that has potential you cannot envision.

Alternatively, you can also make a difference by hugging a Red Cross disaster relief worker today. We are everywhere, 24 and 7, in your community.

Oh, FUGGIT, I'll just write a story about the couple we helped today. And the quilts we passed along to them, one heart to another.

Don't mind me, my Tavern nap was rudely interrupted.
