My story is kind of like that. I was (contrary to my version above) named after my grandfather who had no sons. One Donald MacDonald in a family full of Donald MacDonalds. But he always called himself Dan/Daniel. So that's what I was give. Because according to these people, Daniel and Donald are the same name, and who am I to argue?
