I only do the ceilidhs despite being able to commute. I agree about the poor stallholders - if I wanted to join-in the free session I would need a more general ticket and not the ceilidh ticket. When the ceilidh was in the Town Hall I could join the free session and peruse the stalls.

The ceilidh venue is sumptious but sadly a bit small for the popularity of the dance. We had problems getting there on time (you really really don't want details) but noticed a lot of dancers arriving later and quite a few leaving before the end. But the dance floor was still full - self-regulating I guess.

Only one ceilidh (the Aqua was cancelled) is a serious miscalculation.
