If they talk about "money changers" in the Bible, and they outlaw lending at interest--at least ethically speaking--then it would seem that capitalism would have to be older than 600 to 800 years.

             As a point of curiousity, I wonder when they came up with the concept of defering risk (i.e. insurance)?
