I recently had a bit of a shock in the blood pressure / cholesterol / hyperglycaemia department !! So I have had to dump cakes,doughnuts,sugar in my tea, and all the foods that are bad for one in terms of hydrogenated ,or " trans " fats. I have started to eat bizarre ( but very tasty !! ) things like Jacob"s crackers smeared with anchovy paste, and have virtually given up cheese altogether !! But it is not so easy to cut down on my cider intake !! Maybe it won"t come to that !!
