Bill, what I meant was that every other exchange went:-

"Unfortuately no I don't. I find his films about as funny as getting an arrow through the neck and discovering there's a gas bill tied to it."

"You fancy an evening at a concert party, Blackadder?"
"Well frankly sir, I'd rather spend an evening on top of a stepladder in No Man's Land smoking cigarettes through a luminous balaclava."

Individually, they work. After a while, it gets too much. Whilst it is called "Blackadder", the earlier ones were definitely ensemble pieces. B4 could have been renamed "The Rowan Atkinson Show".
