Once when I was busking I had someone come up to me and tell me he was going to take a pound out of my hat. I pointed to it and told him to take what he wanted and he seemed quite taken aback and ended up giving me a pound.

In last years North Wales Bluegrass Festival, the festival organiser had his Grover 5 string banjo which he had owned for some 20 years stolen which left a nasty taste in a lot of people's mouths. A lot of people got to know about it and like myself knew the banjo and it got a little bit hot. It ended up in a pawn shop in Liverpool - a £3000+ (so I'm told) banjo sold for £100. Anyway the good news was he got it back in perfect condition.
