On the general scale of things, whatever was in the pot was no great loss, Another happy banjo story. I was walking down Lafayette Street one evening and a fellow approached with a lovely old tenor banjo. He said he was selling it for $20. I handed him the cash and he handed me the banjo and I walked on. In about three blocks I was passing a pawn shop, and a fellow was standing out on the street. He asked me where I got the Banjo and I told him. He told me that it was his, and though it was in the shop, it was his personal banjo and not for sale, and some fellow had just boosted it. I hand it back to him, and he offered me a reward, which I declined, saying if he wanted to give me back the $20, that would be fine with me, or not, he should not have to pay to get his banjo back. He greatfully gave me the 20 and we both felt grand. The quickest lost and found story I know.
