This is an interesting thread for me - honestly, I only have recognized one or two names, but if I go music shopping, it would be nice to have seen a recommendation here. I pretty much only know the music of well-known international singers, or East Coast Canada singers. I'll throw Lennie Gallant, singer-songwriter, out for you - well known award winner here, maybe not so much in the UK-US.
