Bronzed Vs Steel

Recently I purchased a set on Martin Acoustic / Performance Guitar strings. For years I have been using Martin Marquis. The difference is in the E (1) and B (2) strings. The Marquis are Silvered Steel while the Studio / Performance are Bronzed Steel. After using the Guitar for a week now, I think I like the Silvered Steel better than the Bronze. The Bronze is a little to bright for me. I'm also not sure about the life of the Bronze strings. Any Comments?
