Sounds to me like you took umbrage because someone didn't share your passion for a performer, or group of performers, and instead of sensibly realising that we all have different tastes you attacked this person for her bad taste.
Now if you had shut up and accepted that we don't all like the same thing and that some of the things we hold dear are regarded by others as crap, then this whole farrago might never have occurred.
