It's well known that the English would laugh at anything. Just as bad as M&W were Mike & Bernie Winter; it's said that they once appeared at the Glasgow "Empire", and after about five minutes of one of them making an arse of himself without drawing the slightest response from the audience, the other stuck his head around the curtain and made a stupid face. For the first time, a sound came from the darkness: "Aw Chrrist; thurr's TWO o' them!"
