Writing to one paper complaining about another (especially if the owners are different) is better than writing to the paper itself [except The Guardian].

British journos and broadcasters,like Brits generally,really take badly to being criticised - the drawbridge goes up,etc. Criticise a Brit in an unanswerable way,and they get angry.

So the last media outlet to address a complaint to is the one you having the spat with.

As well as The Grauniad,I'm tempted to except the BBC,who are more open than most outlets. I wonder if their websites are being operated by a non-BBC breed?
