I think I may have mentioned this in another thread, but Jolie Holland is a young singer who has recorded her own wonderfully quirky stuff, with some really random folk tunes thrown in. Her voice is unique, and takes some getting used to, but I'm hooked.

Her album "Escondida" has a lovely version of "Faded Coat of Blue".

I SWEAR I heard her voice on a tv commercial the other night. Could it have been JC Penney?
