i checked into the Emergency Room on wed. p.m.
after experiencing chest pains and difficulty
breathing. the diagnosis is a blood clot in
my lung. Pulmonary embolism (P.E.) is no joke.
but at least it was not a heart attack. or a poke
in the eye with a sharp stick.

i was admitted to the hospital and put on blood
thinners. luckily there is wireless internet
here and my daughter has loaned me her lap top
so i can check e-mail and mudcat!

to have to be here for a week without access
to the internet, mudcat and e-mail would be
a real tragedy!!

i am listening to NPR radio via the net,.\
that beats being at the mercy of the network
television stations!

i was supposed to join my friend buckwheat
bob at several gigs -- today i am missing
the first one--i progress now.
