I dont think the song was written by tam mc Crone,
I think you will find it was written by a Mr Jamieson who came from TIGHNABRUACH ,and who was emigrating to AUSTRALIA, sorry I can't remember his firstname, anyway he came back to scotland to live and the song is a favourite of many people in Argyll.
