During W.W. I my father was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. He mostly did quality control in a shipyard, but one time they rashly put him on a ship. While he was at the rail, a real sailor came up & told him "If you feel something hairy and round coming up, swallow it down quick, because that'll be your asshole".
