Well Guest, you hae posted as GUEST and hae receied at least one response so that kind of defeats NEVER doesn't it. Here are a couple of comments from my view point.

1. Many friendships exist in Mudcat but Mudcat is certainly not a qlique. Most of the people here are friendly and welcoming to everbody. I can assure you that I HATE cliques and would not have anything to do with Mudcat if I felt it was one.

2. The Guest business is a little unfortunate as some people have used the ability to post anonymously to make spineless personal attacks on others... and I think that there is a remote possibility that a Guest may be viewed with suspision by some because of that.

3. What questions have not been answered? and how were they asked. I think the biggest reason for posts getting ignored is because it is unclear what the originator wants. This starts with the title of the thread. e.g. "Lyr Req: The Wild Rover" is more likely to get a response that "Help on name of song". Similarly, the clearer a person is with the actual message, the more chance of success.
