the law needs to be changed so italian fiddle makers can make 25 a year,the italian government,or the EC needs to provide subsidies for italian makers.
Chinese fiddle makers will eventually demand more for their labour and chinese prices will rise.Chinese hand made fiddles are often good,but not excellent quality,which means many not so well off people can afford a good instrument.
there should be room for both the italian and the chinese,.
it is in my opinion the responsibility of the italian and ec governments to protect Cremona,and Italian hand made violins.
