"Northern City" appears to be one of the more neglected songs that MacColl composed. Has anyone recorded it? If not I might, with proper permission, record it on the next installment of UNCOMMON SAILOR SONGS. I have fond memories of sitting one evening with a friend on a rocky headland way back in 1964 singing this song.
