From memory at present I believe it is the West Virginia Hills although there are versions re North Carolina, something seems to call Charlie Poole to mind. The version that I recall starts off;

In the West Virginia mountains
We have free and flowing fountains
On every little hill there is a still

Bright lights on Broadway etc...

If I can find it on my shelves, it's there somewhere, I'll post details of the recording.
