How to get around in DC? I'll get the first round and I'm sure you have enough other friends down here that you probably won't have to buy too many of them.
Where will you be staying? Public transportation will take you to a lot of places, and friends can take you to others, but it would help to know where you'll be headquartered, as in which town, to help you with the transportation links. http://www.wamata.com will give you Metrobus and Metrorail subway information online and (202) 637-7000 in the telephone information number.Subway maps should be available for printout, as well as bus line numbers for the routes you will need to use. If in Montgomery County Maryland, try http://www.rideonbus.com or call (240)777-7433 for the RideOn busses run by the county that link up with the Metrobus and Metrorail routes. PM me if you need more information.
