Gulliver, I hope this is the same "Living A Lie" that you wanted.

I found the English lyrics, but the French ones elude me. They're almost a direct translation by Miss Nelda Balfa , but my French is pretty rusty.

LIVING A LIE   by Bernie Martin   SOCAN

Well, we fight every morning; we fight every night
And there's a silence so killin' that nothing seems right.
You tell me you love me but I can tell by your eyes
As you walk through the door that we've been living a lie.

When the moon's in the sky with the clouds racing by
You're someplce else and I'm wondering why.
Well you tell me you love me but I can tell by your eyes
As you walk through the door that we've been living a lie.

Bernie played it in D, the key of his acordion and the song has only two chords.

Bernie Martin was a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, actor, playwright, poet, painter, story-teller, clown, puppeteer, enviromentalist...who loved life and his work. We lost Bernie in 1995, but he lives on in his songs and poems.
A group of southern Ontario musicians under the direction of his friend Brian Sanderson and his wife Mary Lofthouse put together a tribute CD with 26 of Bernie's songs. Mry later released a CD of Bernie singing his own songs, made from tapes found in his workshop after his passing, called In His Own Voice.
