I have to admit that I never cared much for the Martin guitar--BUT--I have had a number of occasions to play tunes that required Jazz-style closed position chord accopaniments on a friends instrument--you get a surprisingly sharp, clean sound, both rhythm and lead--

Personally, I like electrics, but tend to play a miked acoustic(unless I am playing with a drummer)--more me, I guess--
