I've always viewed solid electric guitars as very different instruents and find it almost impossible to play an electric (seems to require a different technique) whereas I just struggle with an accoustic. I do think that they both have there uses.

I have mixed feelings about the use of pickups in accoustics. On one hand, some of the electronics used seem very effective. On the other hand, I bought my Fylde because of it's beautiful accoustic tone - surely any pick up is going to loose some of that.
