But not this Saturday for the UK - it's scheduled for the 25th March.

I gather the original idea for all this malarkey was dreamed up by Benjamin Frnaklin - the man who suggested the turkey as the national bird for the USA. This idea was another turkey, and one that badly needs its neck wrung.

Changing the time we do stuff according to the time of year makes sense, but forcing us all to do it all together, with the clocks changing, is just silly. Especially now we've got clocks built into central heating systems and mobile phones and TVs and car dashboards and computers, as well as watches, and probably some devices I haven't caught up with yet. (And then you have other countries do it at different times which complicates matters yet again.)
