Thread Name: Lyr Req: Rock On Rockall (Brian Warfield)
Subject: RE: Rock On Rock All lyrics?
I'm not sure how to format this, but here it is with chords and (?) where I'm not sure.

---------------------------------------------------

Rock on Rockall

D Oh the empire, tis finished, no foreign lands to seize, G D A So the greedy eye of England is turning towards the seas. D Bm D Two hundred miles from Donegal, there’s a place that’s called Rockall, G D A D And the groping hands of White Hall, grabbing at its walls.

Chorus: D Bm D Oh rock on Rockall you never fall for Britain’s greedy hands, G D A Or you meet the same resistance, like ya did in many lands. D Bm D May the seagulls rise above your eyes, and the water crush your shell, G D A D And the natural gas will burn your ass, and blow you all to hell.

This rock is part of Ireland, for its written in folklore, Finn McCool(?) took a sod of grass, he threw it to the fore(?). Then he tossed a pebble cross the sea, wherever did it fall, For the sod became the Isle of Man, the pebble’s called Rockall.

Oh the seas will not be silent while Britannia grabs the waves, Remember that the Irish, will no longer be your slaves. Remember that Britannia well, she rules the waves no more, Keep your hands off Rockall, its Irish to the core.

Chorus * 2
