Susan, not one of the comments so far posted in this thread made negative or 'bashing' remarks against any particular faith, unless you count the quote from Stark himself: "I look forward to working with the Secular Coalition to stop the promotion of narrow religious beliefs in science, marriage contracts, the military and the provision of social services."

Most of us secularists are not interested in 'bashing', but in preventing religious beliefs such as the commonly held religious prohibition against homosexuality from becoming law. This often requires strenuous argument with people who, because they believe 'God said so', are extremely unwilling to live and let live, and we have only to look to certain Islamic states to see how well that works.
