On The Chieftains' Christmas album, The Bells of Dublin, there's a tune which is just listed as The Dingle Set - Dance, on which they sing:"Da daddle-a-daddle-a-daddle-a-daddle, The leg of the duck, the leg of the duck" (or something similar). None of those other fancy words.

I've always thought they were singing "The leg of the dog", and wondered what they were on about. But now I know.

Not that "The leg of the duck" makes any more sense!
