I have never heard Spirit of the west, but I have heard of them. Back in the NAPSTER days someone mislabled one of their songs "Home for a Rest" as being recorded by Great Big Sea. Sure enough five times a year or so, people go to the GREAT BIG SEA web site asking where they can get the song and what album it is from.
