I asked the 'company of those that may know'. However, we did not come up with any more info apart from confirming the fact that Sensible Shoes did a booking at Dartford Folk Club back in late '70s/ early '80s.

I must say that Sensible Shoes performed the song with a bit more vigour and emotion. But then again, I was witnessing the song played live and probably by the composer.
